Reiki is the life force energy and ancient system of healing that works at all levels of our being: physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. Dr. Mikao Usui, the founder of the Usui System of Natural Healing, first codified it in Japan in the late 1800s.
Reiki’s healing energy works in subtle yet powerful ways, and it has been my experience that most people feel its beneficial effects immediately after their first session. Reiki works on all our energy levels (or energy bodies), raising the vibratory level in and around the electromagnetic field that surrounds each of us. Reiki mends, straightens, and strengthens these energy fields so that the life force, or healing, can go to where it’s needed.
Reiki works whether the healer and client are a few inches, or hundreds of miles apart. This is because Reiki effectively suspends space and time and places an immediate vibrational link between the healer and recipient. No distance is too great!
I encourage you to experience this mystical power for yourself no matter the issue you may be struggling with – whether it is physical, emotional, mental, or spiritual.
My teacher, Harijiwan Singh Khalsa, described the practice of Kundalini Yoga as follows:
"When practicing Kundalini Yoga, your inner power is awakened to unite with the Universal life force, empowering you with awareness beyond the ordinary. This awakened state gives you the capacity to expand your perspective and experience each day with increasing inspiration, wisdom and joy. This is consciousness technology presented as an art."
I currently work with both corporate and private clients with each session custom tailored to my client's need (i.e., to overcome specific emotional or physical challenges; deepen your own yoga practice). These sessions are for all levels of experience and physical abilities.
Kundalini Yoga & Meditation
Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan® is also known as the Yoga of Awareness; its focus is on self-awareness and delivering an experience of your highest consciousness. This practice is a science of the mind and body, to elevate the spirit, which has no boundaries, no discrimination. Therefore, it is for everyone. It is universal and nondenominational.
Karamaat Yogic Therapy ("KYT")
The Karamaat Yogic Therapy method employs a customized, creative, collaborative, person-centered approach to my client's challenges. It harnesses the synergy of two major Eastern and Western healing modalities: yoga and cognitive behavioral therapeutic interventions.
This holistic approach ensures my client's healing is long-lasting and sustainable because of its mind, body, and spirit focus.
The Karamaat Yogic Therapy method employs a three prong approach to healing: understanding, application, and conditioning.
My first priority is to understand the issues or challenges affecting my clients and the healing methodologies that will be most effective. I'll take sufficient time to educate my clients on how daily habits, manner of breathing, movement of our bodies and thinking patterns that impact our lives.
Once we have a mutual understanding, we will move on to the application phase which incorporates yoga therapies (a combination of yogic and psychotherapeutic methods) to bring about immediate and long-term healing.
Lastly, the conditioning phase ensures that long-term healing is established through the client's ongoing changes at home and by my continued support either in person or remote (i.e., phone, Skype, Facetime, etc.).
